St Maximilian Kolbe
He made a shelter for refugees in the World War 2
In 1941 he was arrested by the Germans as prisoner 16670
Maximilian stood up and said take me in his place because I won't be missed like this man
He taught the men in prison how to pray and sing songs to god.
The man whose place he took survived the war and returned home to his family.
There is no love then a man who would lay down his life for a friend.
He was announced a priest in 1982, 10 October

Dire wolf
What are the features of the Dire wolves?
The Dire wolf is weighed between 75 to 150 pounds.
Why are they called Dire wolves ?
The answer is that they absolutely are, or rather were, very real. Dire
wolves once walked the land on the land called America , but they are
now extinct.Dire wolves lived during the Pleistocene, about 250,000
to 10,000 years ago, and are close relatives of modern canids like the
gray wolf blue and when they run their eyes goes blue but their eyes
have trails in their eye.
What was the Size and Height of the Dire Wolf ?
Some of the most interesting facts about the Dire Wolf is its size and
weight statistics. Dire Wolves were approximately 2 feet long and
weighed around 150 pounds. That would have made them about 25
percent bigger than Gray Wolves.
When did the dire wolf go extinct and there smelling?
Dire wolves lived for 100,000 years and they were extinct 50,000
years ago.Dire wolves lived more than grey wolves, a Dire wolf is also
good at smelling and finding stuff in the old times were vikings and
kingdom’s and kings.
What is a dire wolf in real life?

The jaguar is the largest and most powerful wild cat in the Western Hemisphere.
The jaguar is a big cat in the Panthera genus, the jaguar's scientific name is Panthera onca.
Appearance
The jaguar is larger than the leopard. The jaguar's coat has different colors, but they are usually
yellow-brownish with black spots, like leopards.The jaguar is the 3rd largest of the big cats
after the tiger and the lion and it is the largest of all the big cats in the Americas. Jaguar's are
only found in the Americas.
Habitat
Jaguars prefer wet lowland habitats, swampy savannas or tropical rain forests.
Their favorite habitat is in the tropical and subtropical forests.
Jaguars also live in forests and grasslands, living near rivers and lakes, in small caves,
marshland, and under rock ledges; they live in shrubby areas as well.
Jaguars are the largest of South America's big cats. They once roamed from the southern tip of
that continent north to the region surrounding the U.S.-Mexico border.
Abilities
They have strong swimming and climbing abilities.They often prefer to live by rivers, swamps,
and in dense forest with thick cover for watching their prey. They are the largest predator in
their range. Jaguars, on rare occasions, are seen as far north as the southwestern United
States, particularly in Arizona.
Diet
Jaguars are known to eat deer, peccary, crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, deer, sloths, tapirs,
capybaras, turtles, eggs, frogs, fish and anything else they can catch. feline species.
Unlike many other cats, jaguars do not avoid water; in fact, they are quite good swimmers.

Things are windy fresh and cold,
lots of color yellow,brown,red and gold.
There is lots of hard and soft leaves on the ground
give me a blanket please do not make a sound.
Spin around as fast as you can
in the leaves next to the van.
In the trees where leaves change
its going to go on and on and it is so lame!

Success Criteria:I know i am successful when I can write a recount using capital letters, full stops and in correct paragraph form.
Have you ever celebrated mission day before?
On Mission day I went to church and sang lovely songs.Then I went to back to school and ate my morning tea while playing with my friends outside.After morning tea the games started and everyone wanted to get their face painted.We also get to wear any clothes to Mission day called mufti.
First I went to room 1 to get a wrapped bottle for 1.00 it was a Fanta bottle.Then I went to room 7 to shoot the shooting targets I got 1,020 points. Then I got 2 ice-blocks for me and my friend Sione. After my class I went to room 1 to watch Despicable Me 3.

Success Criteria:I am successful when I can explain Athletics day.
Athletics day
On Friday the whole school gather for Athletics day.We get to race with our age group but first we get into our groups like Rata/Red, Rimu/Blue, Totara/Yellow and kauri/Green.We have to wear our house color for example if you are in Rata you have to wear red. Athletics day help children to train to be faster and stronger.
If you come first place you get five points, if you come second place you get three points and if you come third you get one point.

Fruit Cup
Learning Intention:We are learning to write instructions.
Success Criteria:I am successful when I can write instructions using words like First, Second, Third, then, Next, After that, Lastly and Finally.
Fruit cup Ingredients:
Lettuce, Pineapple, apple, kiwi fruit and cream
Steps:
First,Wash your hands to get all the germs off.
Second, Wash the fruits and the lettuce to make it clean.
Third, peel the kiwi fruit.
Then cut the fruit into bite size.
Next put the fruit in a bowl or a big container.
After that put some cream on the fruits.
Lastly make a cup out of lettuce and put the fruit in the lettuce cup.
Finally EAT IT!

On Wednesday I was waiting for Jack to come when I felt a tap on my back.I look behind me and I saw Jack waving at me next to the toilet.I asked where his ride was he said magic I was confused.Then we went inside and I introduced him to my friends Sione, Matthew, Paul, Augustine, Ofa, Amiel, Eli and peter.We Started talking about how rich jack was and if he had a mansion and a pool and a butler.When the bell rang,we sat on the mat and waited for the teacher to come.
At morning tea Jack,my friends and I went to play soccer in the court and tag under the canopy.Jack told me that his father died and his mum was tired.When I heard what he said I asked him if he wanted to come over for a play over.Jack smiled at me as he quickly got out his phone and called his mother.He told his mother that he was having play over at my house.
At lunch time Jack order pizza for my class.My class thanked Jack while they walked out the door to play games outside.After lunch room 2 sang their carols then room 1 then me and my class sang our carols.While we where singing Jack was shy to come up,then I told him to not be afraid to come up to sing.Then Jack came up and sang with us and he wasn't afraid anymore.Then we got off the place where we sing and watched the room 7 and room 8 sing.me and Jack enjoyed watching the other classes sing together.I wish Jack could come next time.

Our house rule and the reason why?
House Rules
(1.)Go to sleep at 8:00 because if we don't we will be late for school.
(2.)Don't eat after having dinner because you will get a sore stomach and you will get fat.
(3.)Clean up the house before you play because we don't want to live i a messy house.
School rules
(1.)Don't bully others because if your hurting a person your hurting God and Jesus.
(2.)Don't answer back because it is disrespecting an adult.
(3.)Listen to the teacher or you will not no what to do and you will become dumb.
Church rules
(1.)Be respectful to God in church.
(2)Do the sign of the cross properly.
(3)Don't talk in church and do not lie.

The Tree Hut Treaty
Today we read about "The Tree Hut Treaty" in the story Tia and Manaia had new neighbors who where right about their age.Tia and Manaia climes over the fence and asks them what there is your name the boy replied i am Jack and she is Crystal.After they get to know each other they ride to the tree near their house.They stop there and lay there silently after a while Crystal breaks the silence and starts talking.Then she says "have you reached the top before"Tia says " you will have to get a ladder to reach the top". My feeling for the story is that it was a incredible story about Tia and Manaia and there friends Jack and Crystal.I liked it because it had a good introduction and ending.
